Why learn a foreign language?

There are many reasons why people learn a foreign language. It can be to satisfy your intellectual curiosity, your personal aspirations, sentimental reasons. Whatever the reason, learning a foreign language takes time and requires some efforts. In all cases it is good to have a clear idea of the reason why you are learning a new language to help you get and keep motivated during your studies.
